I'm Nitesh Gupta, a Software Engineer based in Hyderabad, India, with a focus on AI-powered software systems and scalable backend engineering.
My work spans generative AI, LLM applications, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, real-time voice systems and backend architecture. I enjoy working on problems where machine intelligence needs to move beyond demos and operate reliably inside real products.
At ValueLabs, I've worked on enterprise AI platforms involving CRM workflows, retrieval systems, event-driven microservices, real-time communication and intelligent voice experiences.
My approach to AI engineering is grounded in software engineering fundamentals: good architecture, measurable latency, observability, security, resilient integrations and maintainable systems.
Outside day-to-day engineering work, I've also led technical communities and research initiatives, including roles with Teedians Community and IEEE SRMIST.
How I work
Systems before demos
A successful AI feature is more than a model call. I think about orchestration, data flow, failure modes, observability, security, latency and the systems surrounding the model.
Measure what matters
Performance, retrieval quality and user experience should be observable. I prefer engineering decisions backed by measurable system behaviour rather than intuition alone.
Build for maintainability
Clean interfaces, typed contracts and modular architectures make intelligent systems easier to evolve as models, providers and product requirements change.
Stay close to the product
The best architecture is the one that solves the actual user problem. I enjoy working across technical boundaries when that helps move a product from concept to production.
